The Droid you are looking for...

I am proud to say I never had a cellphone, but I can't resist this latest marketing scheme. A cell phone that looks like R2-D2 and is called a Droid because it is running on Google's Android (clever isn't it?).

I think it's time I blasted my brain with harmful cellphone radiation.

Here's the specs; The back of the Droid R2-D2 looks like the rolling trashcan, includes R2-D2 sound alerts and ringtones, four Star Wars wallpapers, an exclusive Star Wars binocular app (remember the binos Luke used in ESB?), R2-D2 clock widget, and a "best of R2-D2" video with Cantina music (dum da dum da dum da dum dum dum). And that's not all! It also comes in a carbonite-esque box, with a Star Wars media dock and a wired stereo headset.

Like oh my god.

Isn't this any Star Wars fanboy's wet dream? Certainly is mine. Except for the fact that it is only sold in the U.S. and is $349 with a two-year contract...I guess my pocket book is safe for now.

What Vader's box REALLY does...

Unlike the Jedi with their bathrobes, Vader wore a black suit of mechanical badassery which was outfitted with the latest in Sith technology...

I have a bad feeling about this: Titanic to receive 3D release in 2012

At last. James Cameron has become more greedy and credit-hungry than George Lucas ever could wish to be. Re-releasing Avatar with an extra nine minutes of previously never viewed footage (a whole nine minutes) was a clear money grab, but Titanic in 3D?

Why?

What good is seeing Leonardo di Caprio 'flying' in 3D? Sure the whole sinking boat scene would be neat in 3D...but Leo has nothing on a cute little ol' blond named Annie participating as an underage race driver on the Middle Eastern planet of Tatooine in the Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace 3D re-release the same year.

What's next for the 3D scam? Casablanca 3D? Gone With the Wind 3D? The only movie I am willing to see in 3D (other than Star Wars) would be a re-release of Jim Carrey's Mask. It is guaranteed to literally be 'eye-popping'.

I have a feeling we are going to be hearing alot more about re-releases into 3D in the next couple years, and perhaps even a Titanic 2...The only movies I believe that is worthy to see in 3D, in my unbiased opinion, is the Star Wars Saga.

Can't wait to see Jar-Jar's 3D tongue.
