Remember Chewbacca Day

On October 5th, 1999 the novel "Vector Prime" was realeased and the first of the New Jedi Order series in the Star Wars expanded universe setting off one of the best stories in the saga and introducing the evil group known as the Yuuzhan Vong, it was a four year war from 25 ABY to 29 ABY

The story also brought death of Han Solo's beloved sidekick and co-pilot Chewbacca.


Sob sob.


Actually it's not so bad when you put in perspective...I mean look at Ol' Yeller. They shot him because he...well I don't know why they shot him, but Chewie died because a moon fell on him.


It took a freaking moon to kill Chewie! Not a space station! A Moon! 


The badass yet incredibly emo Yuzzhan Vong (the more they cut themselves, the higher they get in society), used a dovin basal to pull the smallest of Sernpidal's two moons, Dobido, into the planet. The planet Chewie was on.
